Core Group Company implemented a custom order quoting and design automation system for a power systems manufacturer operating across multiple divisions. The platform centralized quoting, order entry, and order tracking into one connected process.

The Challenge

Custom order quotes took days, and sometimes up to two weeks, to price. Design engineers had to be involved in every quote, and inaccurate designs cost time and resources across the company.

Once a quote was finalized, the order had to be entered by hand into the company’s engineering and business systems using desktop tools. Quote and order status were tracked in separate tools and spreadsheets, so management had no single view of where orders stood.

The Solution

Core Group Company developed a web-based quoting portal that generates quote documents and designs automatically, based on rules that capture the complexity of the company’s products.

A library of product rules allows the sales team to quote supported configurations without routing every request through engineering.

The portal was integrated in real time with the company’s PDM and ERP systems, so approved quotes move directly into production without manual re-entry. An internal dashboard gives teams one place to review orders, check status, and make updates.
